Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a wench strap for truck and trailer wenches. This heavy duty wench strap feeds into a tie down wench on your flatbed truck or trailer to help secure heavy loads. This is for use with a fixed or sliding wench. Those items are sold separately. But, right here we have the wide v-ring. This let's you attach or grab, hook, screw shackle or other hardware for easy, secure attachment.
The v-ring is made from a durable steel construction it features protective finishing on the unit to keep it safe from rust and corrosion. The strap is a durable polyester webbing and the unit meets WSTDA recommendations. Now, the strap itself, edge to edge, measures four inches wide. This strap is available in a variety of lengths. Anywhere from 30 feet long to 70 feet long in five foot increments. All options are available at etrailer.com.
Each strap has a safe working load limit of 5400 lbs and a maximum load of brake strength of 16200 lbs. Again, the ring right here. This has a diameter of 5/8 of an inch and then it when it comes to the opening, that's the amount of space that it offers. So I measured edge to edge right here and get a measurement of about four and 1/8 of an inch. And go in this direction, top to bottom.
That gives us a usable space of about two and 5/8 inches. And that's going to do it for today's look at the wench strap for the truck and trailer wenches. Also, note that tie down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secure cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used.
